Thank you for your coverage of veterans events and issues in 2009. There are nearly 180,000 veterans in New Mexico—yet less than half have bothered to file for their earned benefits. So every time you cover a veterans’ event or issue means one more opportunity for an uninformed/unsuspecting veteran to find out about a potentially life-changing benefit or opportunity for them and their families.
